“DIALOGICA. Cultural Studies and Literature Scientific Journal” is a scientific publication with Open Access. Readers are allowed, free of charge, to download, quote, distribute the entire journal, as well as the pdfs of each article, provided that they respect copyright.

The journal is reviewed.  Each article is reviewed by two reviewers and discussed at the meetings of the editorial board.

The journal does not have article processing and submision charges (APCs).

Objectives

Our magazine aims at the contemporary cultural phenomenon as a product of thought and creativity and manifests itself in the field of humanities. We see ourselves as part of the paradigm of interdisciplinary dialogue, of relationships between the approaches of different disciplines, especially philology, history and art history. We will facilitate articles with theoretical and interpretive concerns in the area of cultural studies, theory studies, history and literary criticism, art history, history and cultural history, ethnology, anthropology, translation studies, etc.

The interactive dynamics of the modern world dictate a change, a connection to the global practice in research, which takes into account the experience of everyday culture carrying meanings and values. We aim to create here, in a space between East and West, the conditions for a platform for communication and collaboration between humanities researchers from research centers around the world. Here there will be dialogue, expressions of academic performance practices will find their place, international collaborations will be strengthened.

Consider the name of the magazine – DIALOGICA – an expression that combines the notions, by which we will be guided, of dialogic principle (Tzvetan Todorov) and dialogic criticism (contemporary literary theory represented by Michael Holquist (USA), Andrè Belleau (Canada), Ken Hirsckop (England) etc.), derived in turn from Mihail Bakhtin’s dialogic theory / dialogism, with all its conceptual constellation: polyphony, heteroglossia, intertextuality, cultural and social context, ideology, etc., as well as a project with a special identity in the international framework of cultural studies, dictated by specific problems of the society in which we find ourselves.

We want a breath of oxygen in a suffocating world of the template, a release of vision and a new impulse for our concerns. We aspire to a typographic space where dialogue as a form of communication, thought and human knowledge connect us to the western academic world. Science cannot exist in isolation, it is revealed and renewed only at the border with foreign ideas.

We are committed to building a field of interaction, of mutually fulfilling relationship, of viable exchange of ideas. We propose both a meeting of goals and projects that facilitate symbolic communication with the other, opening ourselves to the pluralism of perspectives and theoretical orientations.

We reserved a place – in the title of the magazine and in the space of some columns – for art and literature, as well as their promotion.

Publication Ethics

The Editorial Board of “DIALOGICA” commits to the internationally accepted principles of publication ethics expressed in the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). To this end, the same method of submission and verification of manuscripts, peer review and interpersonal communication shall apply as in international scientific journals. Papers that do not comply with the rules of the editorial policy of Scientific Ethics will not be accepted.

Informations for authors

Articles already published in other journals are not allowed.

To counter plagiarism and duplicate publication, articles are verified by placing the title, keywords and snippets of text on the internet. This task also lies in the work of expert reviewers.

The authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.
